General Questions

How many people can one organization bring to each public event?

You can enroll as many people as you want until the class reaches capacity. If you have 20 or more staff who need to take one course, you can request a special training just for your staff by completing our Request a Training form in the Contact section of StrategiesCA.org.

How do I enroll for a training, webinar, or event?

Each person must first register for an account and, thereafter, can enroll individually in classes/events. Go directly to our catalog or find out more information about what topics and webinars we offer using the links below.

I am on the waitlist. How will I be informed if I am added to the class?

If a seat opens up and you are added to the class you will receive an email letting you know you are enrolled. It will include details about the training or event, including the address.

How do I enroll for a Learning Community Convening?

When does enrollment close for Learning Community Convenings?

We strongly encourage early enrollment, at least a week in advance, to ensure we have enough training materials printed and prepared. Enrollment closes at the start of the event. If an event already began, and you are trying to join, please email info@strategiesca.org.

Where is the learning community convening being held?

When you enroll for a convening, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the address, date, time, and location information. A reminder email will go out a week before each training. It will also include the event details. If you sign-up for the waitlist, you will receive the confirmation email with the details when a seat opens and you are enrolled in the convening.

I am on the waitlist. How will I be informed if I am added to the convening?

Webinar Questions

How do I join/enroll for a webinar?

Each person must first register for an account in our Learning Management System. Then they can enroll individually in classes. Go directly to our catalog or find out more information about what topics and webinars we offer.

After enrolling for a webinar, you will receive 2 confirmation emails. One will be from GoToTraining and will include your unique login link and a phone number that you can use the day of to participate in the webinar.

If they go to your junk folder, please right click to mark them as not junk and add the sender to your contacts to ensure they will go to your inbox in the future.

Can I enroll someone else for a webinar?

Our system requires that each person registers for an account with a unique email address and password. Then they can individually enroll for a training.

When does enrollment close for webinars?

Enrollment for webinars closes at the start of the webinars.

I missed the webinar, was it recorded?

Most of our webinars are recorded and can be found on our YouTube channel.

What trainings do you offer?

How much do the trainings cost?

We are able to offer our services Free of charge to the family strengthening field, thanks to funding from the California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP).

Can I enroll for more than one training?

Yes. Each person may enroll for one session of each of the courses we offer.

How do I drop a class?

Go to StrategiesCA.org and click “CATALOG” at the top to get to our Learning Management System.

How do I switch a class?

Login, go to your Dashboard (link at very top), find the event in your Calendar or ILT session list and click on it, then you can choose “drop” and go to the event in the top widget and enroll in a new session.

Can I enroll someone else for a training?

Our learning management system requires that each person register for an account with a unique email address and password. Then they can individually enroll for a training.

How much does it cost to request a training specifically for my organization/network?

All of our trainings are free of charge. Please fill out the Request a Training form in the Contact section of our website to request a specific training in your area. If you have at least 20 people to be trained, we can schedule the training with your staff and open it to the public to fill the seats to reach our goal of 40 learners per training.

Do you provide lunch or coffee?

Because our trainings are free, and our funding is through the State of California, we are not able to provide coffee or lunch. Our lunch breaks are schedules for an hour and in locations near restaurants, so that you may purchase food if you are not able to bring your own lunch.

Occasionally, our partners and participants host beverages and/or food at our events. For that, we are thankful.

We strongly encourage early enrollment, at least a week in advance, to ensure we are able to prepare the necessary training materials. Enrollment closes at the start of the event for webinars, and online events. If an event has already begun, and you are trying to join.

How do I request a training that Strategies used to offer?

We are continually working on updating the list of trainings we offer. If you need a training that is not listed, please complete the contact form on our website to help us prioritize which courses are needed for the family strengthening field.

When is the next training for ___ topic?

If you check our catalog of events and don’t see any upcoming sessions listed for the training you are interested in, your best bet would be to continue to check back later to see when newly scheduled trainings are posted.

We work with partners to make trainings available where there is enough interest. If your organization, or your organization and partner organizations, have 20 or more staff to request a training, we recommend that you fill out the Request a Training Form in the Contact section of our website: strategiesca.org/request-training

How do I create an account to sign-up for a training/event?

1. Go to StrategiesCA.org
2. Click the CATALOG menu (top of the page)

3. Click LOG IN / REGISTER (top right)

4. Click “register here” at the bottom of the popup to create a new account.

How do I sign up for a class, webinar, or convening?

1. Go to StrategiesCA.org and click LOGIN / REGISTER at the top right corner.

Click CATALOG (at the very top middle of the screen.)

It says my account is disabled and to contact an administrator?

Try the temporary password #Strategies2
If that doesn’t work, email info@strategiesCA.org with your name and email address. We will get back to you within 1 to 2 business days.

Why does it say my email already has an account if I never set one up?

You probably attended a Strategies 2.0 training in the past 3 years. We uploaded all users and their transcripts. Try the password: #Strategies2
